Kitten Contract & Kitten Pack
At Benagic Bengals, the most important thing to me, as a breeder and cat owner, is the health and happiness of all of my kittens.
From Day 1, your kitten identified and tracked - this is either through a small collar or if the kittens are all different colours, I will be able to tell the difference quite easily. I stay with my Queen, Fleur, throughout labour if I can, as she usually likes me there for reassurance. After a few hours with mum I weigh them all quickly and record it in each of their personal logs. Each day I weigh the kittens to ensure they are gaining weight and getting enough milk from mum.
From the moment Fleur is happy (which is about 2 days) I slowly integrate my neutered bengal's into the mix. This I find very beneficial, as Fleur is very close with them, and also it helps the kittens socialise with cats of different ages. In the last few litters, Fleur has been know to go off to use the litter tray or get some food and the neuters will happily go in and catsit, much to the confusion of the babies as I think they wonder where the milk bar has gone!
Any medications, vet procedures and vaccinations are logged in their daily personal logs. These are then included in the kitten pack when the kittens go to their new owners.
No kitten leaves me unless they are (this is non-negotiable):
All owners are more than welcome to come and see their kitten once they have had their first vaccination, and deposits will hold them until full payment has been received before collection.
I take great pride in caring for my kittens as if they are part of the family, as I know it is important for them to be confident, playful and content in their new homes as part of a family.
